Tokichiro's forces are approaching Shikoku. Even with the might of the great Chosokabe army, a battle with yokai is sure to be a grueling one. Can I ask you to join the Chosokabe's army and fight with them?

And do not worry, you do not have to win this on your own. We have other plans already in motion...

• Second Shrine: Inside the locked prison cell of the prison building near the second shrine. You'll need to work your way through the cave where the dark realm was and head towards the path where the spa is (You'll have to knock down a tree to find the spa on the other end of it). Ahead of the spa, there's a wooden inclined path that leads to the roof of the prison building, you'll find an opening that you can jump from and into the locked prison cell.

• Second Shrine: Dispel the dark realm inside the cave near the second shrine. After killing the Yazura yokai, head up the slope where the yokai was and you'll find a tree that you can knock down. On the other side of it, you'll find the Spa.

A Message From the Deceased Walkthrough

Find Chosokabe

Upon arriving on the island, head straight and you'll find the shrine next to a house. You can destroy the objects inside for a chance to obtain an item and gold. Your task for this mission is to find Chosokabe and help him fight against the Yokai that are on the island. After using the shrine, head straight and go to the path on the left, the ladder on the right is for you to kick down later for a shortcut.

On the path, that's on the left, you'll encounter a spear-wielding soldier and a sword wielder. At the top of the path, you'll find another house where you can find a body that you can loot and another spear-wielding soldier inside. By the house, there are more soldiers ahead, three on the ground, two that are on the wooden bridges above. There's a slope on the right side that goes up to the bridge. But before you proceed further, make sure to go around the back of the house so you can find the ladder and kick it down to open up a shortcut. Clear the area first of all the soldiers, then head inside the large building that's at the end of the section. Once you exit the other side of the barn, you'll encounter yokai enemies, there's a Gaki lying down in the grass on the right and an Aberrant Soldier walking by the slope ahead. After killing both yokai, head inside the second building and climb up the ladder at the end of it. A Warrior Skeleton will spawn on the bamboo platform and at the bottom, you'll find an NPC fighting against a Yoki and an Aberrant Soldier.

Head down to the battlefield and help the NPC. After killing the yokai, speak to the guy and you'll learn that he is the head of the Chosokabe Clan, Chosokabe Motochicka. Make sure to speak to him three times and he will join your party and accompany you ahead. You'll also find the second shrine here.

Joining Forces

From the second shrine, your objective is heading to the east side of the prison building. But you'll want to make a detour first and clear the dark realm inside a cave, on the north side of the prison building. Once you enter the dark realm, you'll encounter multiple yokai in it. You'll want to try and shoot and kill the Yokai that are on high-ground first such as Aberrant Soldier, Gaki, and Warrior Skeleton to stop them from shooting projectiles at you. After you've cleared the small Yokai, head to the bottom section of the cave where you'll find the source of the dark realm, the Mitsume Yazura - make sure to open the large chest nearby as well.

Before you leave the cave, if you head up the slope from where the Yazura yokai was, you'll find a tree that you can knock down. On the other side, there's a Spa (Hot Spring) that you can use. Ahead of the spa, you'll find a wooden inclined path where another Aberrant Soldier is walking on. The path leads to a roof of the prison building, and you'll see an opening that you can jump into on the left side. 

Jump into the prison cell below from the opening and you'll find a small chest that you can open and a Scampuss on the right - at this point, you've already cleared the prison building and the cave, so head to the east section towards the marked objective.

At the marked destination, what you'll need to do is kill the soldiers and defeat the general to complete this mission - speak to the general you defeated and then Chosokabe to leave the area.
