Chosokabe Motochika is an NPC in Nioh 2. NPCs are characters that can be interacted with or are shown in the game. Chosokabe Motochika Information
Chosokabe Motochika is a Sengoku period daimyo from Tosa province (present-day Kochi prefecture). After becoming the head of his clan, he unified Tosa and followed up by subjugating the entirety of Shikoku Island, earning him the title of "Tosa's Finest".
His mother comes from the Saito clan of Mino, and his wife is a half-sister of Saito Toshimitsu, so Motochika also has close ties to Akechi Mitsuhide.
Motochika raises an army to stand up to the force sent to Shikoku by Tokichiro, but struggles to match the power of Tokichiro's army, bolstered as it is by yokai. Tenkai, however, makes arrangements for reinforcements in the form of the protagonist. Motochika is initially suspicious of the protagonist, who was originally part of the Hideyoshi pair, but together, they succeed in repelling Tokihiro's subordinate, Sengoku Hidehisa. He thanks the protagonist for their assistance and entrusts them with a message for Tenkai.
