Courtier's Cuirass is a Heavy Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Courtier's Cuirass Description
This piece of armor is made from two plates of iron bound together with black leather. It has a simple sleeveless design and is light and easy to move in. While it is unspectaular visually, the surecoat worn over it is distinctive and shows the social status of the original owner.
It is part of a set armor said to have been owned by one of the leading courtiers to the shogun during the Muromachi period.
