Exorcist's Hat is a Medium Head Armor in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the head of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Exorcist's Hat Description
A standing hat, of the fashion often worn by and court officials, crafted from linen and pa' with black lacquer. Numerous charms. instilled with the power to repel malignant spirits, have been attached to the inner side of the hat, providing the head with vital protection from yokai attacks.
Part of a set of armor favored by those whose occupation is to drive away yokai and other evil spirits via spiritual and religious power. They use an amalgamation of methods taken from Shinto, Japanese mountain asceticism, esoteric Buddhism and many other sources. While the effectiveness of their methods has been called into question, people that find themselves tormented by yokai and at their wit's end often turn to these exorcists for help.
