Gallant Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Gallant Cuirass Description
Upper body armor consisting of iron plates attached together with rivets. It is gold-plated and truly worthy of a general. This set of armor was worn by Ishida Mitsunari, who served as an advisor to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Mitsunari loyally supported the Toyotomi even after Hideyohi's death, and wore this armor during the Battle of Sekigahara, which would turn out to be Mitsunari's final battle.
