Genryu's Cuirass is a Heavy Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Genryu's Cuirass Description
A black lacquered, tub-shaped piece of armor. With the distinctive crashing waves of the Saito family crest rendered in gold lacquer proudly on display, this armor is well-suited to a true-blood member of the Saito family.
Heavy armor worn by Saito Yoshitatsu. Genryu, meaning "black dragon" was part of the Buddhist name bestowed upon Yoshitatsu posthumously.

- Obtained as a reward from completing the Main Mission: The Hollow Fortress.
- Available to be crafted once the Smithing Text: Genryu's Armor is presented to the Blacksmith. This Smithing Texts is dropped by Saito Yoshitatsu in "The Point of No Return."
