Governor's Cuirass is a Heavy Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.

Governor's Cuirass Description

This armor has a traditional motif on the stomach band and its scales have been painstakingly crafted using a sophisticated technique that involves thinly applying lacquer to gold leaf. Its impressive appearance amply reflects the grandeur of its owner.

It is part of a set armor believed to have been used by a mighty local governor during the Muromachi period. These governors were sent by the central authority to exercise absloute power over the unruly provinces.
