Hyuga Director's Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Hyuga Director's Cuirass Description
Black lacquered iron armor of Southeast Asian design. The ridge in the center of the plate was added to deflect blows from the sides.
Part of a set of armor said to have been used by Akechi Mitsuhide. The imperial court granted him a title of high standing, but he has more commonly referred to by his rank: director of the Hyuga provincial governors.
