Imakomei's Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Imakomei's Cuirass Description
Simple chainmail armor, covered with a thick garment and battle surcoat. While it offers less defense compared to other common armor, its lightness allows the wearer to fight for extended periods of time without succumbing to exhaustion.
Part of a set of armor worn by Takenaka Hanbei, Hanbei had a brilliant strategic mind, which prompted Hideyoshi to go to great lengths to recruit him. Hanbei's alias Imakomei, which translates as "The New Kongming", came about due to parallels drawn between him and Kongming, a great, Chinese military strategist of the Han Dynasty.
