Imakomei's Helmet is a Medium Head Armor in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the head of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Imakomei's Helmet Description
This peculiarly-shaped helmet resembles the hats worn by Taoist priests of ancient China. The articulated plates attached to it provide protection for the neck. The distinctive decoration that adorns the helmet, depicting nine bamboo leaves, is the crest of the Tanaka family.
Part of a set of armor worn by Takenaka Hanbei. Hanbei had a brilliant strategic mind, which promted Hideyoshi to go to great lengths to recruit him. Hanbei's alias Imakomei, which translates as "The New Kongming", came about due to parallels drawn between him and Kongming, a great, Chinese military strategist of the Han dynasty.
