Imperial Monk's Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Imperial Monk's Cuirass Description
A European-style cuirass finished with a coat of black lacquer, worn together with a battle surcoat. A ridge runs down the center which is designed to lessen the impact of bullets.
Part of a set of armor worn by imperial monks in times of war. Imperial monks served as attendants to court nobles and members of the imperial family who often doubled as chief priests of prominent temples. The position is sometimes inherited, as was the case with Shimotsuma. a famed imperial monk at the temple of Honganji.
