Imperial Monk's Hood is a Medium Head Armor in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the head of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Imperial Monk's Hood Description
A type of hood sometimes referred to as a "helmet hood". Where a helmet would usually have an articulated plate to protect the neck, the hood instead uses flock paper hanging from the back for the same purpose.
Part of a set of armor worn by imperial monks in times of war. Imperial monks served as attendants to court nobles and members of the imperial family who often doubled as chief priests of prominent temples. The position is sometimes inherited, as was the case with Shimotsuma, a famed imperial monk at the temple of Flonganji.
