Irregular Troop's Gauntlets is a Light Arm Guards in Nioh 2. Arm Guards protect the arms of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Light Arm Guards, lowers your equipment load, making you move faster and Dodge more easily. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Irregular Troop's Gauntlets Description
These gauntlets comprise leather bound together with tubes of fabric along with metal reinforcements to protect more sensitive spots.
They are part of a set of lightweight armor used by the so-called Jingari troops who were irregular forces that participated in battle in the hope of finding a master or being otherwise rewarded. As they could expect no loyalty from their commanders if they were on the losing side, these troops had to be quick to adapt to circumstances and judge the way the wind was blowing.
