Kintaro's Greaves is a Heavy Foot Guards in Nioh 2. Foot Guards protect the feet of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Kintaro's Greaves Description
Lower leg protectors that match the vermillion design of the cuirass, with gold sun emblems adorning their backs as well as the knee guards. It is part of a set of heavy armor said to have belonged to Sakata Kintoki, one of the four great commanders who served Minamoto-no-Yorimitsu. He was the samurai known as Kintaro in his youth who inspired the folklore legend of the same name. This armor is thought to have been one of the spoils of war when the demon Shuten Doji was defeated by Yorimitsu and his men.
