Maelstrom is a Yokai Skill in Nioh 2. Maelstrom is unlocked by attuning a Suiki Soul Core to your Guardian Spirits, enabling you to perform this unique skill.
Maelstrom Effects
Transform into a water tornado to continuously attack enemies with water and physical damage. This attack can be extended by holding down the button set to the skill, and you can control your movements by moving.
You cannot be thrown while transformed, but there is a significant and noticeable start up time where you are vulnerable.

- Attune: Suiki Soul Core

- Essentially a water elemental version of Fire Twister.
- Anima Bonus (Amrita Absorption) or similar effects can be used to extend the time you can use this attack even further.
