Master Archer's Cuirass is a Heavy Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Master Archer's Cuirass Description
The breastplate on the left and the braided plate on the right make this seem like a traditions piece of heavy armor. However, some elements, such as the sleeves, give away the fact that it is of a more modern design. The black silk surcoat adds an air of solemn elegance befitting a member of the Ashigawa family.
It is part of a set of armor said to have been worn by Imagawa Yoshimoto. Expanding out from Suruga Province, Yoshimoto had a majority of the Tokaido region under his control at his peak. He was also renowned for his skill with a bow, earning him the title of "Tokaido´s greatest archer".
