Mataza of the Spear is a Sub Mission in Nioh 2. This mission is recommended for level 104, has a difficulty level of 2, and features both human and yokai enemies. Mataza of the Spear tasks players with fighting and winning against Maeda Toshiie. Mataza of the Spear Walkthrough

A Duel Against Maeda Toshiie

Before you start this mission, it is recommended that you make further preparations since you'll arrive in the area where you'll fight against Toshiie. For this battle, you are facing a human enemy. So weapon skills that can knock off an enemy off-balance will work here in your favor. Using the Kusarigama and reeling him in with the use of the chain will cause him to trip, allowing you to follow up with combos. Toshiie wields a spear and he is one of the fastest human bosses you'll encounter in the game, so you'd want to keep running around him to avoid getting caught by his spear. Whenever he ends his combo, you'll also have a small window to attack him before he recovers and uses another attack.
