Onmyo Warrior's Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Onmyo Warrior's Cuirass Description
A seamless iron plate. painted with black lacquer. Its design follows the fundamental principles of yin and yang, making it far stronger than it looks. The armor provides no protection to the shoulders. but this was done in order to facilitate easy hardling of a long sword.
Part of a set armor worn by Saito Toshimitsu, one of Akechi Mitsuhide's most loyal retainers. They held a shared respect for the principles of yin and yang, and MItsuhide trusted Toshimitsu enough to include him in the planning stages of the many schemes designed to realize his vision. While Toshimitsu often manipulated from the shadows, he was also not above the use of brute force to eradicate anyone that stood in the way of his master's goals.
