Rivals Return | Nioh 2 Wiki


Rivals Return is a Sub Mission in Nioh 2. This mission is recommended for level 148, has a difficulty level of 3, and features yokai enemies. Rivals Return tasks players with fighting in a gauntlet of yokai enemies, as well as some bosses from the DLC. "It seems an assortment of yokai you've slain have gathered in the Underworld and are demanding you face them again. They never learn, it seems. Well, I'm sure a sound thrashing will do the trick! "

Mission End Text

"Well done! Your fighting spirit completely eclipsed that of the demons, though I expected nothing less, of course. Whether you’re in the realm of the living or the dead, you’re unstoppable. You know, if you put your mind to it, I’m sure you’d be able to make it to the very bottom of the Underworld."

Rivals Return Walkthrough

Fight!

This is a gauntlet of enemies, where new enemies spawn 2-3s after you kill the enemies you're currently fighting. The battle starts against a Yasha, then 2 Fox Spirits, then a Hellish Hag, then a Yamanba and a Gaki, then a Konaki-Jiji, followed by 2 Aberrant Soldiers, then a Kiryoki and a Boss, Tate Eboshi. After killing it, if you die, you start at this point.

The second part starts with 2 Harinobos, then a Kinki, then a Fuki, then a Suiki, then an Ongyoki, and finally the Boss, Otakemaru (The First Samurai).
