Sarutobi's Gunsticks is one of the Tonfas in Nioh 2. This weapon works in conjunction with the Tonfa Skills skill tree, and usually has good scaling with the Courage stat. They also scale with the Constitution and Dexterity stats. So if your Build has high Courage, consider using this Weapon type.
The Gunsticks always have the Tonfa Gun trait. This allows them to release a very short range fire blast on certain moves, specifically Crimson Lotus and Devastation. To activate the Tonfa Gun, players need to perform a move that enables it and then immediately follow up with an one additional quick attack more than usual at the end of the combo.
Sarutobi's Gunsticks Description
Iron Tonfa used by Sarutobi Sasuke, who served under Sanada Yakimura. These tonfa, made by a renowned mastrer gunsmith, can be loaded with bullets that are fired from an opening at one end, allowing for close-range strikes as well as ranged attacks.
Originating in Ryuku Province, tonfa spread to other regions in Japan due to their use by military strategists and ninja who traveled the land. Sasuke is thought to have learned how to use tonfa while in a ninja village in Togakushi (present-day northern Nagano prefecture). Flexible enough to be used for attack or defense, tonfa proved to be an excellent weapon for ninja, with their mastery of the classical martial arts, and many used them in conjunctionwith kusarigama.

Confirmed drop from Otakemaru, I got it at NG after about 30x run (not NG+)

People have found the smithing Text to drop in NG+ Otakemaru more often.

im positive they drop from final boss thats where i got them, matter of fact it seems final boss drops ALOT of texts i even got the golden boy set from him after giving up farming the text from elephant boy

Farmed Corpses and Ice, particular the Matsume yokai, but also the boss, for a few hours. Nothing.

Has anyone found where to get these? Either the actual Tonfa drop or the smithing text?
Probably my favorite weapon in the game. The two unique attacks are quick and do massive damage when they connect. Try and position yourself so that the blast part of the combo hits the enemy's back to melt pretty much any enemy in the game in only a few hits.
