Mission Start Text

Matsunaga Hisahide was farmed for his fondness for the tea ceremony and in his final moments, he filled his treasured hiragumo teakettle with gunpowder. Clutching it to him as he lit it, they went up in flames together. Well, he always did like to make a scene.

His castle still remains, albeit in ruins, and the fragments of the teakettle are scattered there. If we are to gather the fragments and piece it back together, I believe it might bring comfort to the souls of the departed on Mount Shigi.

Splendid, you gathered every last piece. I should have expected nothing less from the great Hide. Now, with a bit of time and some lacquer to piece it back together, I can restore it to its original form.

I am sure Hisahide's spirit will be lifted when he sees it. Thanks to your efforts, things should settle once again on Mount Shigi. You have my thanks.

Scattered Fragments Walkthrough

Collect the Fragments

For this mission, players will need to obtain four fragments of a teakettle that Sen no Rikyu needs to comfort the souls of the departed on Mount Shigi. Upon arriving, you'll see the shrine for this mission. Make sure you use it and make further preparations before you proceed forward.

There are four sections you'll have to enter and each section will have a few waves of Yokai you will need to fight. The last yokai that appears will drop the fragment only after killing it. After you clear the second section and obtain Hiragumo Fragment II, when you reach the bridge, make sure to invoke the NPC companion "Yamanaka Shkanosuke" from the Benevolent Grave, it's a requirement for this mission. The fourth section will be across a bridge that is engulfed with the Dark Realm. Clearing the yokai from the last section and grabbing the last fragment completes this mission

Trivia & Notes:

It is possible to skip the third gauntlet section, heading directly across the bridge rather than up the path.  This will cause the mission to end early, and you will get an alternate end mission text stating that you gathered "many fragments, but not enough".  Doing so will not grant you the Hiragumo Kettle key item.  Once you have the Hiragumo Kettle, it can be given to Matsunaga Hisahide in The Interim, rewarding you with a random Tea set item.
