Scion of Tamura's Cuirass is a Heavy Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Scion of Tamura's Cuirass Description
A cuirass modelled on the armor of the Tang, dynasty. The iron platelets, connected via leather straps and rivets, provide protection for the chest. As Sakanoue no Tamuramaro's ancestors, the Yamato no Aya clan, hailed from China, Suetake retained an emotional attachment to the lands that lay beyond the sea.
Part of a set of armor believed to have been worn by Urabe no Suetake, one of the loyal allies that served Minamoto no Yorimitsu, who were compared to the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhist legend. Suetake's official family name is Sakanoue, making him a descendant of the hero, Sakanoue, making him a descendant of the hero, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. A master of the bow, he is said to be skilled enough to shoot down down a needle hanging from a thread.
