A pair of deerskin greaves wound around the legs and fastened in place. Chain has bee woven into the underside of the comfortable white hakama worn with them, meaning that both legs are fully protected, right down to the ankles. The hakama has been tied with black cord below the knees to provide greater mobility.
Part of a set of armor believed to have been worn by Urabe no Suetake, one of the loyal allies that served Minamoto no Yorimitsu, who were compared to the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhist legend. A master of the bow, he is said to be skilled enough to shoot down a needle hanging from a thread.
