Soul of the Warrior Monk

Mission Start Text

"Wel, well, it seems that brute Benkei has a matter he would like your help with. He appears to be most exercised about it, and it would hardly do to turn a blind eye to his plight. As a warrior ho has felled countless enemies to further his collection of spirit-inhabited weapons, his should not be underestimated. Don't let your guard down just because you beat him once."

Mission End Text

"What a fine display! Benkei fought with such vigor, you could tell his much he wished to make amends for his loss at Yashima. Now, he should be able to pass on happily to the next life... Hmm? What's that? It seems that though his wish has been fulfilled, he is not ready to depart. He is a truly devoted retainer, through and through!"

Soul of the Warrior Monk Walkthrough

Defeat Benkei

For this mission, you'll arrive at the arena where you'll fight against Benkei for the second time, apart from that, there are no collectibles for this mission. The first time you encounter him is at the main mission "A Song to Calm the Storm." He will start off by attacking you with a spinning charge attack. So be ready to block at the beginning, or dodge to your sides to avoid getting hit. If you see him use a burst attack, you'll want to make sure you counter it so that you can interrupt his attack and land a few hits. Most of his weapons as well are mid to long-range so you'll be dodging to your sides a lot and blocking to avoid getting hit.

One of his attacks you'll want to avoid as much as possible is when he charges up and you'll see a white mist on his body. You won't be able to block this since you'll get grabbed and you'll take a lot of damage from its combo. You won't have to worry about the dark realm since it won't be able to conjure it if you deplete its stamina bar. Focus on pressuring Benkei and to deplete his stamina bar so that you can stun him for a brief moment. After defeating him, speak to him to complete the mission and to leave the area.

The guy who designed the arena for this fight is actual braindead, too small of space, flowers and bamboo and different elevation ground blocking your view, it just ruined an otherwise great fight
