Swallowtail Greaves is a Medium Foot Guards in Nioh 2. Foot Guards protect the feet of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Swallowtail Greaves Description
Shin guards made from thin metal plates, designed to fold at the middle. They are attached to the leg from behind using leather and cord. Part of a traditional armor set worn by the warlord Gamo Ujisato, who was born in Omi Province (present-day Shiga prefecture). Ujisato was discovered by Oda Nobunaga at a young age, and given an important position where he participated in various military campaigns across the country. He was given the baptismal name "Leon" when he converted to Christianity. Under the orders of Toyotomi Fiideyoshi, he was relocated to Aizu (present-day western Fukushima prefecture), where he fought against Date Masamune, and died young due to illness. He learned the art of tea-making as one of Rikpis top disciples.
