Tactician's Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.

Tactician's Cuirass Description

A European-style cuirass with an armored vest worn on top to protect the shoulders. The tortoise shell-shaped plates sewn into the armored vest are capable of withstanding a regular attack from any blade.

Part of a set of armor worn by samurai assigned as commanders or tacticians in times of war. As they are usually situated in strongholds where they advise the general, they very rarely appear on the front lines of the battlefield.
