The Brothers’ Blades

Mission Start Text

Please make your way to Amegawa at once!

Someone- or something- has attacked the Tokugawa forces in the wake of the battle. In such a place, the site of so many battles, it would not be remotely surprising if this was the work of the wrathful spirits or yokai. If by any chance yokai are involved then your talents will be needed to rid us of them. I can think of no one more suited to the taks.

Mission End Text

Magara walks the battlefield still you say?! He is stubborn indeed, taking a demon's form and hindering us even in death. Well, I suppose he is as true a samurai as they come.

I wish only that I could have faced him when he was still alive...

The Brothers’ Blades Walkthrough

The Battlefield

Upon starting this mission, players return near the battlefield in Amegawa. Before heading straight towards the first shrine, turn around and you'll find a corpse that you can loot. Past the shrine and near the ladder, there's an Aberrant Soldier looting a corpse that you can loot.

After clearing the starting point, climb up the ladder and head inside the house where you'll find the Scampuss for this mission. It's just at the corner on the left side next to some stacked buckets. The area for this mission is pretty short where the marked destination is on the left where you fought Magara Naotaka, while on the right side goes to the courtyard that's engulfed by the Dark Realm.

So, before you head to the marked destination, from the house, head to the courtyard first and into the dark realm on the right side. Before you reach the courtyard though, you'll encounter a Rokurokubi and an Aberrant Soldier. Once you're in the Dark Realm, you'll see the same large blue crystal that you saw in the Main Mission: Corpses and Ice. It's the same thing, you'll need to destroy the crystal for the dark realm to disappear. Apart from that, at the courtyard, there's an Odachi-wielding revenant that's going around the crystal. You'll want to bait it out of the dark realm first and kill it before destroying the crystal. You'll also find the second shrine as well that you can use once the dark realm is gone. The path ahead of the courtyard is closed off, so just search the area for corpses that you can loot, and inside one of the houses there's a large chest that you can open - after searching and clearing the area, rest at the nearby shrine first, grab the Scampuss inside the house near the starting point and head to the marked objective where you'll fight a familiar boss.

A Rematch: Magara Naotaka

When you head down the marked area, you'll face a couple of Yokai first such as two Warrior Skeleton and one Aberrant Soldier before Magara Naotaka appears. His moves and attacks are the same just like your first encounter of him in Corpses and Ice. But if you want to learn more about this boss, you can click here, or, check the video that is linked below - successfully killing this boss for the second time around will complete this mission
