Mission Text
Mission Start Text
"It seems your skills have improved greatly since the last time I saw you.
Do you think you've got what it takes to fight me?
It's for your own good, of course. My disciples aren't going to provide you with enough of a challenge. I fear. Come, this time it's not for money, I just want to see how good you really are."
Mission Complete Text
"You move like a true ninja! Believe me, not many people make it beyond the level of the great Flying Kato.
To think, a student I decided to teach on a whim would turn out like this! It's been a real blast teaching you, and I look forward to seeing you again once you have become stronger. Well, provided both of us manage to keep ourselves alive, that is!"

Walkthrough
Your ninjutsu proficiency must be at least 100,000 or more to start this tutorial mission, you can gain proficiency points by unlocking any ninjutsu skills and by using the tools you prepare in battle. Before you start the mission, make sure you have made any preparations needed since this tutorial mission leads straight to a boss battle against Kato Danzo. As by now, you should know that he is a master ninja who is superb in moving quickly and using various tools. Kato wields a sword and he can dance around the area with his agility, as mentioned he can use tools to his advantage, so he can throw bombs at you at mid-distance. Surprisingly, he has a trick up his sleeve where he uses magic! Make sure you constantly move around the area to avoid getting hit by his tools and magic. Bringing the Kusarigama to this battle can be helpful since you can use the chain to pull him in which knocks him off-balance, allowing you to follow up with a few blows - successfully defeating him completes this tutorial mission and you can obtain Smithing Text: Swift Hawk, speak to him after the battle to exit the area.

He definitely drops both weapon and armor text I had 20.5% item drop and 10% Vs humans took me about 20 runs to get both

Does this unlock at the proficiency rating only, or is it also gated by your progression in the game?

Anyone get the smithing text for his weapon? Does he drop it? I farmed it for over 6 hours and only got the armor set smithing text

I got the smithing text for the armor first try. got lucky I guess. I think he also can drop smithing text for his Weapon swift hawk. Since the armor is only 5 pieces and you need 6 to unlock the whole set.

Can anyone confirm if you can drop his smithing text drop here? Some people say he does but i didnt get anything.
Kusarigama chain pull is very useful against lots of human enemies.... I'd say its almost OP :o)
