Tsuchigumo Robes is a Light Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Light Armor, lowers your equipment load, making you move faster and Dodge more easily. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Tsuchigumo Robes Description
Robes dyed in the sap of boiled wildflowers. Lengths of chain woven into the inner section make these robes much sturdier than their appearance would suggest. A peculiar piece of armor, consisting a stomach band fused with protective sleeves, is worn over the robe. The stomach is also heavily bound with a web like thread produced by a member of the clan with great spiritual power. As a result, the force of any blow is dispersed, greatly reducing the likelihood of taking a fatal strike.
Part of a set attire worn by a clan that disobeyed the will of the Emperor who came to be referred to as the Tsuchigumo, in reference to the spider yokai. They were driven out of the land of their ancestors by the armies of the Imperial Court, forcing them to take shelter in deep mountain valleys where the deep hatred they harbored towards their aggressors continued to fester.
