Usumidori is one of the Sword Weapons in Nioh 2. The Usumidori, like all swords, has a good balance between offense and defense, and is a good choice if you aren't sure what sort of Enemies you will be facing. Swords also scale very well with the Heart stat, so if your Build has high Heart, consider using this Weapon type.
Usumidori Description
A sword favored by Minamoto no Yoshitsune. In chronicles such as The Tale of the Heike, Genpei, Seisuiki, and Taiheiki, Yoshitsune is depicted as having wielded this sword in numerous battles. Once named Hoemaru ("howler"), it was presented to Yoshitsune in his youth by an official of Kumano. Yoshitsune renamed the sword to its current name ("light green") after the springtime mountains of the Kumano region.

Usumidori Notes & Trivia

- Usumidori and Spider Cutter are the as Hizamaru, or Hobbler. As a result, all three have the same visual design, with the exception being the color of the weapon themselves and the size, as the latter two weapons are the smaller of a dual sword set.
