Whipper Snapper is a Yokai Skill in Nioh 2. Whipper Snapper is unlocked by attuning a Namahage Soul Core to your Spirit Guardian, enabling you to perform this unique skill.
Whipper Snapper Effects
Transforms the player into a Namahage and then they rapidly stab the target in front of them, rapidly dealing high Ki damage and physical damage.

Whipper Snapper Notes & Tips
- This is very strong to use against enemies that are winded.
- Against Yokai enemies, they will rapidly have their permanent Ki drained by this attack.
- Against human enemies, this can be used instead of a grapple attack, as it will continuously drain their Ki while knocking them out of and into their winded state, gaining increased damage from hitting them on the ground and while they are winded. In the end, this will likely still leave them winded or grounded.
- This very consistently applies Poison and Paralysis when combined with Shirohami and Itokuri, respectively.
- You cannot be grappled while transformed.
