- This active skill also doubles as an attack. This is key to understanding the parry window; you automatically dodge any attack that hits you while the hit box is active (look at the weapon trail) and counter attack.
- Even if the parry doesn't activate, you only take 1 damage from attacks that hit you during the active hitbox, even from moves you couldn't parry.
- Many Yokai Melee attacks can be parried with this skill, which is rare for parries.
- It is possible to hit with both the normal and parry attack on the same enemy.
