Hidden Teahouse in Nioh 2 is where players can join Clans, Clan Battles and spend their Glory. To unlock the Hidden Teahouse players must first complete the main mission A Way Out.
Hidden Teahouse Information
The Hidden Teahouse is where the game's Clans battle for online supremacy via Clan Battles. Within the Hidden Teahouse, you can use Glory, earned from killing Revenants, to trade with the merchant for Items, unknown rare Weapons, and Armor. Transform yourself into another Nioh 2 character using skins, or acquire new Gestures.
You can also appraise tea utensils for your hut here. Appraise tea utensils for 50 times and you can get Tea Connoisseur trophy.
Clans
Joining a Clan allows players to earn its Crest Protection. In addition, players will be able to participate in Clan Battles and earn rewards. The more a player contributes during Clan Battles and the longer it stays in the same Clan, the greater the effects of the Crest Protection will be.
Players can claim rewards for clan battles held up to two weeks, meaning the battle before the current one, and the one before that. Only Glory can be claimed as a reward.
Clans are managed at the player account and their Crest Protection affect all saved data linked to the account.
Clan Battles
Clans are divided into a red and white camp which compete to see who earn the most Glory. The winning camp receives most of the Glory as a reward. The more members a Clan has, the less each individual member receives. Rewards can only be obtained once per player account.
If a player manage to reach the top rankings, they will get a discount on the amount of Glory required to trade items at the Hidden Teahouse.
Glory
Glory is earned mostly by playing online in Expeditions, Random Encounters, and so on. If a player has pledge allegiance to a Clan, the glory earned will be added to Clan camp score.
Glory can be exchanged for Items at the Hidden Teahouse.
Changing Allegiance
Players can leave their Clan and join a new one or defect it (This will leave you without any allegiances). If a player changes Clans when a Clan Battle is almost over, the rewards that can be claimed will be reduced.
Players can only change Allegiance once every 8 hours.
Donating Items
Players can obtain Glory by donating items to their Clan. If the item fulfill the special reward conditions, players will obtain a special reward.
Donating items will also add a bonus to the membership duration to your allied clan and raise the Crest Protection bonus faster.
The amount of Glory gained by donating items will gradually decrease, but will be reset at the start of the next clan battle.
Trading
Players can trade earned glory for Items and Equipment. Spending Glory will not reduce the Clan's Camp battle score.
The amount of Glory required for an item may vary depending on how many times the trade has been made by the player and other factors.
Transforming
Players can spend Glory to change their appearance to that of another character. While transformed, equipping different armor won't change the visual appearance of the character.
Players will unlock new Character Appearances as they progress through the Missions.
Transformed appearances can be used online, however, only William's appearance will be shown in certain situations.

As incomplete as they get. Missing 100% of the DLC and over 50% of main game

Did they remove the option to buy weapons at the teahouse? It was there a while ago and you could buy or "roll" for a random weapon or equipment, and then one day i got on and poof, gone.

the Teahouse is unlocked when you complete kill the owl boss

i find it the teahouse is unlocked when you complete the main mission A WAY OUT. after killing the owl boss
Fun fact that I learned the hard way: your hidden teahouse info (purchased skins/scrolls and current standing in a clan) is stored in a separate save file if you play on playstation. So don't erase all but the longest play time data and assume it'll be fine
