Flying Monkey is one of the Spear Skills in Nioh2. Flying Monkey is an active Low stance skill that allows you to get behind an enemy by leaping over them.

Flying Monkey Description

Leaps over an enemy to get behind them. (Low stance only).
Command: L3 Up + X at end of combo.

• This skill puts you into the air, avoiding many attacks that don't hit vertically, and likely getting behind whatever you were attacking. That said, you still are not invincible, in the air or on the way up.
• The skill does hit on the way up. The damage is minuscule but it can destroy horns
• This attack can be done after quick or strong attacks.
• This attack allows you to recover before you Ki pulse, allowing you to cancel the recovery of using an Item with a Ki pulse. This can lead to a strong retaliation after dodging something.
