Irregular Troop's Waistguard is a Light Leg Guards in Nioh 2. Leg Guards protects the Legs of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Light Armor, lowers your equipment load, making you move faster and Dodge more easily. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Irregular Troop's Waistguard Description
The armored sections of these leg protectors are relatively small, but clearly guarding the legs from injury was paramount to these soldiers.
They are part of a set of lightweight armor used by the so-called Jingari troops who were irregular forces that participated in battle in the hope of finding a master or being otherwise rewarded. As they could expect no loyalty from their commanders if they were on the losing side, these troops had to be quick to adapt to circumstances and judge the way the wind was blowing.
