Firestarter Waistguard is a Light Leg Guards in Nioh 2. Leg Guards protects the Legs of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Light Armor, lowers your equipment load, making you move faster and Dodge more easily. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Firestarter Waistguard Description
This leg armor comprises small iron scales bound together with thread. It is supremely fire-resistant and protects the legs from burns.
It is part of a set of lightweight armor that is well-suited to launching fire-based attacks. In the Warring States periodm arson was a well-established tactic for destroying everything from enemy castles and forts to civillians' homes. The special troops whose job it was to start these blazes needed to wear fire-resistant armor in case they were caught up in the conflagrations they caused.
