Golden Gourd Waistguard is a Light Leg Guards in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the Legs of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Light Armor, lowers your equipment load, making you move faster and Dodge more easily. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Golden Gourd Waistguard Description
Armour worn by Tokichiro. The thigh protectors that hang down from the waist are emblazoned with a golden sun. These decorations are an indication of Tokichiro's belief that the sunrise brought with it his many successes in life.
Gourds have been grown as crops since ancient times. As it was believed that their seeds would sprout without fail, they became a symbol of success, family prosperity and fertility. It is for this reason that Tokichiro uses the image of a gourd on his standard.
