Tatenashi Waistguard is a Heavy Leg Guards in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the Legs of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Tatenashi Waistguard Description
Leg protectors that are part of a famed set of armour, the Genji Hachiryo, said to have been owned by the Genji clan. Long a family treasure of the Kai-Takeda clan, it is said that none who wore it into battle ever suffered a scratch. Indeed the Japanese name means 'no shield', meaning that the wearer can safely go without a shield. They feature the same overlapping plate construction as the breastplate. A bit heavy while on foot, but it is designed to be supported by a saddle for a lightweight feel when riding on horseback.
