Imperial Monk's Gauntlets is a Medium Arm Guards in Nioh 2. Arm Guards protect the arms of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Imperial Monk's Gauntlets Description
A pair of cylindrical gauntlets with a black lacquer finish. While they look simple, they have been masterfully crafted to be sturdy but also allow the wearer to move freely. The prayer beads around the wrist cements their image as attire for monks.
Part of a set of armor worn by imperial monks in times of war. Imperial monks served as attendants to court nobles and members of the imperial family who often doubled as chief priests of prominent temples. The position is sometimes inherited, as was the case with Shimotsuma, a famed imperial monk at the temple of lionganji.
