Child of the Sun's Waistguard is a Heavy Leg Guards in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the Legs of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Child of the Sun's Waistguard Description
Lower body armour that consists of lightweight raft-shaped thigh guards. Its tassets are held together with crimson, white, and yellow thread. Part of a traditional armour set said to have belonged to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who, after starting out as a poor villager, ascended to the position of shogun and eventually came to rule over the entire country, earning himself the title of the Unifier of the Warring States. Hideyoshi, who had previously served as a retainer to the Oda clan, dominated the competition for the top position after Nobunaga's death, and his victory led to him being called the Child of the Sun. The full set of armour includes an extravagant tabard beloved of Hideyoshi.
