Malefactor's Waistguard is a Heavy Leg Guards in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the Legs of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Malefactor's Waistguard Description
Underneath the pheasant tail feathers are long tassets, hanging from the waist, that reach all the way down to the knees. As the feathers do not offer any form of protection, it seems that Hisahide had them added purely for aesthetic effect.
Armor worn by Matsunaga Hisahide. Responsible for many atrocities, such as the assassination of shogun Ashikaga Yoshiteru. the destruction of the Miyoshi Triumvirate and the needless burning down of the Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji, he was viewed with considerable caution by Oda Nobunaga.
