Master of the Three Evils
Mission Start Text
Oh... It's you So you've been learning a thing or two from that master swordsman, right? I knew I'd seen that technique somewhere before. Heh heh!
How strange for one to be still so attached to the way of the blade, even in death. How about we put that beautiful swordsmanship to good use? I need entertaining, after all.
Mission End Text
Now that was entertaining!
But a word to the wise - if you're going to keep using those glowing stones, I'd be more careful. There are dubious individuals in search of such stones, causing all manner of trouble, I hear. At the same time, you wouldn't want to be too careful, would you? I mean, what would be the fun in that? Heh heh!

Master of the Three Evils Walkthrough
Boss Battle: Matsunaga Hisahide
For this mission, the objective is to simply fight and defeat Matsunaga Hisahide. In order to unlock this Sub Mission, the Main Mission: Pervading Waters must be completed, as well as the Training Mission: Master of the Dual Blades. In order for the training mission to be available in the Dojo interface, your proficiency points with the Dual Swords must be at least 180,000 or more. Proficiency points can be farmed by using the Dual Swords in battle and by spending its skill points to unlock the weapon's skills. Now, make sure you make further preparations before starting this mission because you'll find yourself in the arena against Hisahide.
Hisahide is protected by the Guardian Spirit: Itokuri. He has a total of three burst attacks. First is when he will rush towards you and pummels you onto the ground, and after a short while, he'll set off a large bomb on you which is an insta-kill if you're caught. Despite that, if he does this, if you have enough Anima, you can easily burst counter it and it will knock him off-balance, allowing for you to counter-attack him. For the other two burst attacks, he will summon Itokuri to either shoot out webs on the ground that will slow your movements if you walk on it and the other is when he summons a pillar of fire with the help of Itokuri - all of these can be interrupted if you time your burst counters right, just remember that if you choose to dodge his suicidal burst attack, do not approach him while he recovers, because the bomb will still explode after a short while.
For his attacks, he will usually try to block your sight by throwing out multiple poison or paralyze smoke bombs. The smoke will remain on the ground for a short while before it disappears. Usually, if he does this, he will use his grapple burst attack to catch you off guard, so again, move further from him to avoid getting caught, also, make sure you have enough Antidote or Antiparalytic Needle to heal yourself from the effects. He also throws bombs that explode after a short while, what you can do is to dodge towards him and attack him if ever he does throw out the explosive bombs. This boss wields Dual Swords, so trying to knock him off-balance won't really work here because he'll always raise his guard up. The best thing to do is to exploit his burst attacks and to attack him afterward. Better make sure that you also have enough Lantern Plant Fruit so that you can replenish your Anima if ever you run out.
You'll complete this mission once you defeat him. Apart from obtaining armor pieces and weapons that he drops, before you leave the area, you'll also be possessed and obtain his Guardian Spirit: Itokuri.
