Exorcist's Cuirass is a Medium Torso Armor in Nioh 2. Torso Armor protects the torso of the player and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Medium Armor provides a balance between protection and agility. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
Exorcist's Cuirass Description
Body armor that utilizes a smooth plate withlt a black lacquer finish. The combination of the intricately knotted black and brown cord and the soft rush around the neck, braided in the style of the ceremonial ropes found at shrines, serve to bolster the wearer's resistance to the often devestating attacks of yokai.
Part of a set of armor favored by those whose occupation is to drive away yokai and other evil spirits via spiritual and religious power. They use an amalgamation of methods taken from Shinto, Japanese mountain asceticism, esoteric Buddhism and many other sources. While the effectiveness of their methods has been called into question. people that find themselves tormented by yokai and at their wit's end often turn to these exorcists for help.
