The Exceptional One's Helmet is a Heavy Head Armor in Nioh 2. Head Armor protects the head of the player, and can have varying degrees of quality and level, just like Weapons. In addition, they can provide Toughness bonus, physical, and elemental protection to your character. Heavy Armor, Usually provides better protection, at the cost of movement and dodge speed. Toughness makes you deplete less Ki when Blocking, so if you wish to Block more often, consider wearing Armor that provides more. Usually the heavier Armor the better.
The Exceptional One's Helmet Description
A type of helmet that resembles the shape of a brush tip in design. The vermillion beetle-horn crest contrasts with the traditional elegant neck guards and plates, and when combined with the visor, make this a conspicuos piece that intimidates opponents. This set of armor was owned by Shima Sakon, the tactician who served Ishida Mitsunari. Sakon was a man who possessed keen intelligence, his tactics keeping Tokugawa Ieyasu in check. As a military commander, he was both courageous and wise, and touted as being "too good for Mitsunari". The navy blue thread binding on the black lacquer scales are meant to be a reflection of Sakon's intelligence and fidelity.
