Umbral Bullet is a Usable Item in Nioh 2. It is a t is a Boss Skill dropped by Ren Hayabusa. After you acquire the combat art, you can ready this Ninjutsu at a shrine
Umbral Bullet Information
When used, these scrolls fire a highly compressed Ki bullet at enemies in a straight line.
The scroll contains the incantations necessary to use umbral bullets. It is said that the spell is nothing more than a mental concentration aid, and that those without a talent for ki manipulation are unable to invoke the technique.
Umbral Bullet Effect
- You charge and then fire a large, fast ball of Ki energy that goes through multiple targets, dealing a large amount of physical damage.
- Both the shock wave that surrounds you and the bullet itself staggers enemies that they hit.
- The base damage of the Jutsu is based on your Ninjutsu Power. The higher the NP the higher the damage.

Thought it was just a weak projectile, but if its charging shockwave alone can stagger an itsumade then it's a plus to me

I saw someone use this to grapple a yokai enemy multiple times. First you grapple the yokai, next, you immediately use Umbral Bullet's stagger to put them back into a grapple state, then repeat. You can keep doing this for as many as you have Umbral Bullets, and it works even on Itsumade.
I don't think this works on the bosses though.
