Yatagarasu is a Guardian Spirit in Nioh 2. Guardian Spirits can be selected on the Shrine menu and each provides a different boost to the player. Activate Yokai Shift by pressing △ + O (B + Y on Xbox/Steam controller) when the Amrita Gauge is full.
Yatagarasu Description
Pronounced "Yah-ta Gah-ra-su". A mystical crow with three legs and three eyes that is said to see all across heaven and Earth, with nothing escaping its notice. In japanese mythology, it was venerated as a holy guide who helped lead heroes down the right path, and as the god of hunters and archers. Saika Magoichi was the first leader of the Saika clan to enjoy its protection as a Guardian Spirit.

How to use Yatagarasu
- The Guardian Spirit Skill is Yatagarasu flying through the target and shooting three projectiles with high scorch accumulation and Ki damage.
- This is mainly used for it's bonuses to Ranged Attacks, giving them passive fire damage, a large amount of Anima for hitting an enemy with them, and giving you a large bonus to Untouched Ammo, enabling you to use them as a core part of your build rather than just a sniping or counter-sniping tool. While the melee damage bonus is strong, using the ranged weapon bonus for it is inefficient, as they do not build Scorch well unless you use the alternate ammo.
- It is one of the worst guardian spirits to use for Yokai Shift, since the skill is mediocre and the passives do nothing.
