Hojo is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters linked to the account.

The Hojo clan once ruled all of Kanto from their power base in Sagami Province (modern-day Kanagawa prefecture). Amongst its most famous leaders are Hojo Ujiyasu and his son Ujimasa.
The forefather of the Hojo clan was born Ise Moritoki. The clan later adopted the name Hojo in the hope of emulating the deeds of the Hojo clan of the Karnakura shogunate. As such, the Hojo clan is sometimes known as the "later Hojo clan" to better distinguish between the two. When Ujiyasu was head of the clan, he established an alliance with the Takeda and Imagawa clans, allowing him to greatly expand his influence in Kanto. The clan's power did not falter when Ujimasa succeeded his father, and at one point it controlled over 2.4 million koku of land. It was ultimately defeated by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Siege of Odawara.
