Kitabatake is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters linked to the account.

The Kitabatake clan once ruled Ise Province (modern-day Mie prefecture). Kitabatake Tomonori is their most famous leader.
The illustrious Kitabatake clan served in the Imperial Court before being appointed to rule over Ise Province, holding the offices of both military and provincial governor during the late Muromachi period. Tomonori, the clan's eighth leader, extended the clan's influence to Shima Province (today's eastern Mie prefecture) but was forced to yield to Oda Nobunaga in the latter's invasion of Ise. He adopted Nobunaga's second son, Chasenmaru (later known as Nobukatsu), as the new heir of the Kitabatake clan, thus ending the Kitabatake bloodline. Tomonori is also well-known for his prodigious skill with the sword.
The Kitabatake clan shares its crest with the Genji clan, due to its being descended from Murakami Genji.
