Ii is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters Iinked to the account.

 

The Ii clan was based in Totomi Province (modern—day western Shizuoka prefecture), though it later came to rule over Kozuke Province (known today as Gunma prefecture). Two of its most celebrated leaders are Ii Naotora and Ii Naomasa.

Having lost many men to war and internal conflict, the Ii clan was unable to defend their keep in linoya from the Imagawa clan. Naotora was appointed head of the clan despite being a woman, and worked to restore the clan to what she saw as its rightful status. She forged a relationship with Tokugawa leyasu and successfully drove the Imagawa clan away. Her adopted son, Naomasa, was sent to serve leyasu from a young age, and came to be known and feared as the Red Devil due to his army's blood—red armor. Naomasa is considered one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Tokugawa, a title bestowed upon Tokugawa's four most fearsome generals.

The Ii crest is tied to the Tachibana clan, one of the four great families of that age (the other three being the Minamoto, Taira, and Fujiwara clans). The "tachibana" is also the name of a fruit that resembles the mandarin orange, and is said to symbolize great

  • The more you contribute during Clan Battles and the longer you stay in the clan, the greater the effects of the Crest Protection will be.
  • The Clan bonuses are applied per armor piece; at maximum protection bonus and 5 pieces of armor, you gain +13% more melee damage and 55% more toughness.
