Kuroda is a Clan in Nioh2. Players can pledge their allegiance to a Clan at the Hidden Teahouse to acquire passive Special Effects that affect all Characters linked to the account.

 

The Kuroda clan mainly ruled over Chikuzen Province, located in today's western Fukuoka prefecture. Its most celebrated leaders are Kuroda Kanbei and his son, Nagamasa.

With their sharp wit and great valor, Kanbei and Nagamasa served Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa leyasu brilliantly, both on and off the battlefield. In return for their efforts, they were eventually made daimyos.

The design of the Kuroda crest is derived from the wisteria flower. Legend has it that when Kanbei spent a year imprisoned by an enemy, he drew courage from a blooming wisteria tree that was visible from his cell window. He is said to have adopted the wisteria as the family crest upon his eventual release.
